Chestnut Centre Otter, Owl and Wildlife Park
The Chestnut Centre is set in 50 acres of the beautiful
Peak District National Park. The nature trail (3/4 of
a mile) will lead you through the deer meadow which
is home to both Fallow and Manchurian Sika deer. As
you leave the deer, the trail crosses the stream where
you may see a Giant otter playing in and around a Victorian
pool. Further along you can watch and learn about otters,
owls, pine martens, Scottish wildcats, and foxes, all
in natural enclosures. Our helpful animal staff will
answer all your questions.
Please allow at least one and a half hours to see everything.
